Game Info: Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 12 p.m. EST (Folsom Field)
Betting Odds: USC -21.5 (-110) - Over/Under (72.5)
Pick: USC -21.5 (-110)
Saturday afternoon takes us to the University Of Colorado where Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes will be looking to bounce back after they were smoked by the Oregon Ducks last weekend. They will welcome in reigning and defending Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams and the Southern California Trojans for a marquee Pac-12 Conference matchup on
Saturday afternoon. Both of these teams will be looking for a crucial conference victory as they look to further establish themselves as conference title contenders.
Southern California comes into this game flying high and undefeated and they will take on one of their toughest tests of the season on the road in Colorado here on Saturday afternoon against the Buffaloes. Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams is off to a fantastic start this season, as he is looking to win his second consecutive Heisman Trophy, and if he continues to play the way that he has he will certainly be in New York City with the other two finalists when the winner of the Heisman Trophy is announced.
Southern California will also be looking for another conference victory in this game after they decimated Stanford a couple of weeks ago, and then defeated Arizona State last weekend. Head coach Lincoln Riley has his team playing well as USC comes into this game looking like a legitimate Pac-12 title contender, and a potential playoff team as well. USC has won all of their games this season by double digits and they will be looking to make it five consecutive double digit victories with another victory here on Saturday afternoon on the road and what is considered a marquee game.

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes will be looking to bounce back after they were trounced by Oregon last week on the road. There is a massive amount of hype surrounding this Colorado program heading into week number five of the season but if last week told us anything that shows that they still have a long way to go before they will be competing for Pac-12 championships or playoff spots. They will be looking to bounce back and luckily for them they will play in the friendly confines of Folsom Field here on Saturday afternoon as they look to knock off a top ten ranked team in the country in the form of the USC Trojans.
It would be a program defining win for the Colorado Buffaloes if they can find a way to upset Caleb Williams and USC and I would also put them towards the front of potential contenders to compete for the Pac-12 title this season. If they are able to knock off Lincoln Riley and the Trojans, it would be a massive victory for Colorado as it would allow a lot of people to erase the memory of their blowout, lost to Oregon last Saturday afternoon. However, everything will have to go perfect for Colorado and their defense will have to find a way to stop this USC offense throughout the game.
Betting trends to consider in this matchup:
- USC is 2-1 against the spread against a win
- Colorado is 0-1 against the spread is Pac-12 games
- Colorado has allowed more than 30 points 3 times
I expect more of the same for both of these teams, as I look for USC to put in a solid victory against Colorado and for things to continue to pile up against the Colorado Buffaloes with another crushing defeat this time at home against another top team in the Pac-12. As I look for reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, I have another quality performance as he looks to further his case to win his second consecutive Heisman Trophy at the end of the regular season. In the end, I have USC, grabbing a very comfortable victory, and covering the spread in the process against Colorado on the road on Saturday afternoon.
