Betting Odds: Guardians ML (-105) - Over/Under (8.5)

Pick: Guardians ML (-105)

This game on Thursday afternoon will be the third and final game between Seattle and Cleveland throughout this series and the final game of the regular season series between the two teams as well. Both of these teams have picked up a victory throughout the first two games of this series, but it is Cleveland that has already clinched a share of the season series and they now have an opportunity to win it with a second consecutive victory on Thursday.

After getting crushed eight to nothing Wednesday night the Seattle Mariners will look to bounce back in the finale of this three game series against Cleveland. It was a much different performance from what they showed in the opening game of the series on Tuesday when they scored eight runs of their own and picked up the victory over Cleveland. Now they will look to get the bats going once again and split the regular season series against Cleveland as well as take two out of three from their regular season series finale here in this one. They were unable to get the bats going against Tanner Bibee, who put out one of his best performances of the young season.

That is something that will need to change throughout this game on Thursday afternoon if Seattle wants to get back into the win column and head into the back half of June with some momentum. They are currently sitting in first place of the American League West division, and they will track down Cleveland for the second best record in the American League with another victory here in this one in the process. Starting the third and final game of this series for Seattle will be Luis Castillo, who in the past couple of years has been one of the best starters in baseball, however, he has struggled throughout the early part of this year. He comes into this game with a 6-7 record and he will look to grab victory number seven on the road in this game.

Cleveland used an incredible performance by Josh Naylor, who hit two home runs throughout the game on Wednesday to pick up a much-needed victory in the second game of the series against Seattle. They look to string together another incredible performance at the plate here on Thursday afternoon and pick up a second consecutive victory and their fourth victory of the season against the Seattle Mariners. It could be a huge victory for Cleveland as it would officially give them the tiebreaker over Seattle and as of right now these two teams look likely to be neck and neck for the second record in the American League, which means a bye into the ALDS in the postseason.

Starting the finale of this series for Cleveland will be Logan Allen. He comes into this game with seven victories and only three losses on his record throughout the early part of the year however, it is fair to say that is a bit deceiving. He has struggled majority of the time, and however, the Cleveland offense seems to bail him out time and time again when he takes the mound for the Guardians. That is something he will help to avoid throughout this Game On Thursday afternoon as he will look to shut down Seattle and lead Cleveland to another victory only a day after Tanner Bibee put a goose egg up on the board. Now he will hope to follow suit and replicate that type of performance.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- Cleveland is 27-17 after a win

- Seattle is 17-20 on the road

- Cleveland is 22-9 at home

I expect to be a much closer and much more competitive game here on Thursday afternoon between Cleveland and Seattle. However, in the end I look for a similar result, as I expect Cleveland to grab a second consecutive victory over Seattle to wrap up the series. Cleveland has the best team in all of Major League Baseball at home this season and I don’t see them slipping up here in this one as I look for them to take their second series over Seattle this season.
