Betting Odds: 49ers -7 (-105) - Over/Under (43)

Pick: 49ers -7 (-105)

The San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings will wrap up the seventh week of this NFL season here on Monday night in Minnesota. Both of these NSC teams will be looking for a victory to strengthen their foothold in the playoff race, and in San Francisco’s case they will be looking to further extend their divisional lead while the Minnesota Vikings will be looking to recover and get out of the hole they have dug for themselves through the first six weeks of the season. Both of these teams are very capable on the offensive side of the football and the defensive side of the football so this has the potential to be a close and competitive game between San Francisco and Minnesota here on Monday night.

The San Francisco 49ers will be looking to bounce back after they were defeated by the Cleveland Browns last weekend in a sloppy game that led to them getting their first loss of the season. They were dealing with plenty of injuries throughout that game as well and they will be hoping that they can make it through this Monday night game relatively unharmed, and they will have their full arsenal on display on both sides of the football here in this one. The key to a San Francisco 49ers victory in this game will rely on their solid defensive play, and the performance and health of running back Christian McCaffrey as well.

They will be without wide receiver Deebo Samuel in this game, which will be a big blow to their offense, but quarterback Brock party will have to respond in a big way here on Monday night if they want to grab the victory and avoid losing their second consecutive game of the season. Even without Deebo Samuel on the offensive side of the football they still have plenty of weapons to get the job done, and they will have to utilize those weapons to the fullest extent if they want to escape Minnesota with a victory.

It has been a rough start to the season for the Minnesota Vikings as they have dropped four out of their first six games on the year and they will be looking to grab a huge victory here on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers. They will once again be without Justin Jefferson, as he is still spending his time on the IR, and he will be out for the next few weeks as well. Which means other options like KJ Osborn and Jordan Addison will have to step up for the Minnesota Vikings if they want to get a win over one of the best teams in the league this week.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins will have to shake the reputation that he cannot perform well in primetime if Minnesota wants to grab a much-needed victory here in week number seven of the year. Running back, Alexander Madison will have to protect the football after some fumbling issues early on in the season and the team is a hole will have to play solid football on both sides of the ball if they want to grab a victory over a motivated, but beat up San Francisco 49ers team here on Monday night.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- Minnesota is 0-3 at home this season

- San Francisco is 2-1 on the road this season

- Minnesota is 0-2 as an underdog this season

I expect this to be a close and competitive game between these two teams on Monday night, but in the end, I think it’ll be the San Francisco 49ers that come out on top. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is known for under performing in primetime and I expect more of the same here in this one as I look for this solid San Francisco defense to shut them down and get the job done. In the end, I expect a close game throughout the majority of the contest, but I look for San Francisco to pull away before the final whistle sounds, and grab the victory.
