You can argue that the Arizona Diamondbacks have been the biggest surprise during this 2023 baseball season. They are heading into the 2023 All-Star break leading the National League West division over the Los Angeles Dodgers, who were considered the odds-on favorite to take the division. Also, on their roster is the likely National League rookie of the year runner up, Corbin Carroll. If not for the meteoric rise of Elly De La Cruz in Cincinnati, Carroll would likely be the favorite to win the award. Arizona will be looking to cap off the three game sweep of Pittsburgh in this one after their come from behind victory in extra innings on Saturday evening.
The Arizona Diamondbacks come into this game with 52 victories, through their first 90 games of the season. They have picked up four victories in their last 10 games of the season, but they come into this game on a two game winning streak after their first two victories against the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend. I also expect Arizona to cover the run line in this game against Pittsburgh.
