Los Angeles was able to block out all of the noise revolving around the Memphis Grizzlies and their series with them to send the Grizzlies home in 6 games in embarrassing fashion, by a score of 125-85. After all, even though Dillon Brooks should have known beforehand, he ended up poking the wrong bear as LeBron James and the Lakers were out to make a statement after their lackluster performance in Game 5. Nevertheless, it was not James or AD who played at the best of their abilities in the crucial Game 6, it was D'Angelo Russell. In only 30 minutes, he was able to score 31 points on an extremely efficient 12-17 clip. The Lakers will look to keep him going in the upcoming series against the Warriors, as they will need all of their weapons to be in good form to keep up with the fast-paced Dubs offense.

Golden State found themselves in a very rare Game 7 against the Sacramento Kings in Round 1 after putting together one of their worst home Playoff games in recent memory with the core of their roster. But, it almost seems as though the Warriors did it on purpose to get everyone on the edge of their seat to see them get knocked out early after winning a Championship last year. Turns out, Stephen Curry still is as good as he has ever been at the age of 35. He was able to become the first player in NBA history to score 50+ points in a deciding Game 7, scoring 50 points on 20/38 shooting. At times in the 2nd half, it felt as though he was toying with the Kings and getting anywhere he wanted on the court at any moment. This showing allowed the Warriors to pull away in the 2nd half, outscoring the Kings on their home floor by a score of 64-42 after the intermission. Can Curry deliver an early blow to the Lakers in Game 1 to gain the first bit of momentum?
