Game Info: Sunday, May 12th, 2024 at  3:30 p.m. EST (Spokane Memorial Arena)

Betting: Pacers -5.5 (-115) - Over/Under (218.5)

Pick: Pacers -5.5 (-115)

The New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers will play the fourth game of their series here on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis. This will be the second game in Indiana for the second round series and the Pacers picked up a much-needed win in the third game of the series to remain afloat. Now they will look to even up this series against the New York Knicks with another victory on Sunday afternoon before heading back to Madison Square Garden in New York City for game number five. This is a pivotal game number four here on Sunday afternoon and the winner of this game will have all the momentum for the remainder of the series.

The New York Knicks had an opportunity to take a three games to zero lead in the series against the Indiana Pacers in game four earlier this week. They were unable to get the job done as Indiana was able to hit some clutch shots down the stretch and New York was unable to keep up with them throughout the final couple minutes of the game. The New York Knicks bounce back and win this game to take three games to one advantage over the Indiana Pacers before heading back to New York City for game number five with the potential opportunity to close out the series.

Jalen Brunson put up some incredible numbers for the third consecutive game in a row and that is something he will look to match here on Sunday afternoon for a fourth consecutive game as well. They will need Josh Hart and Dante DiVincenzo to step up once again in this game if they want to be successful for the third time in this series against the Indiana Pacers. They will certainly need to clean up their play on the defensive end and limit the production of Tyrese Halliburton and Pascal Siakam, as they have allowed to eclipse the 100 point mark in all three games of this series so far.

The Indiana Pacers will be searching for a second consecutive win this series as they look to even up this series before heading back to Madison Square Garden for game five. It was a third consecutive game that came down to the final two minutes of the contest and the Indiana Pacers were able to pull ahead and pick up a much-needed victory earlier this week at home against the New York Knicks. In what felt like a must win game for the Indiana Pacers. Ty Halliburton stepped up and did his job along with the supporting cast to lead the Pacers to their first victory of the series.

Now they will all look to replicate those performances throughout the second game of this series here in Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon. Much like the New York Knicks will need to control the play of Tyrese Haliburton on the defensive end of the court, the Indiana Pacers will need to control the play of Jaylen Brunson and Dante DiVincenzo on the defensive end of the court. All three games in this series have been highest scoring and Indiana will either need to outscore the New York Knicks or get some stops late in the game if they want to come away with a second consecutive victory. This will likely be the fourth consecutive game of the series that comes down to which team shoots the basketball better in the final couple of minutes of the contest. As they have been pretty much inseparable throughout the first three games of the series.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- Indiana is 22-11 as a home favorite

- New York is 13-15 as a road underdog

- New York is 16-23 as a betting underdog

I expect this to be a fourth consecutive close and competitive matchup that comes right down to the wire between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers. In the end, I look for the Indiana Pacers to protect their home court for the second consecutive game in a row and pick up the victory here on Sunday afternoon against the New York Knicks. I could easily see this coming down to the final minute and I look for Indiana to put the game away with some late game icing free throws led by a strong performance by Tyrese Haliburton.
