Pick: Raptors (-2.5)

With the Eastern Conference Standings heating up as we head into the last stretch of the season, we will head into Toronto to take a look at a matchup between familiar faces when the Miami Heat face off against the Raptors.

Miami has gained a bit of momentum recently, winning 4 out of their last 6 games (3-3 ATS in that span). This has allowed them to put some room between them and the rest of the lower seeds in the East. As I have stated in the past, the Heat is the type of team that it does not matter what seed they are coming into the Playoffs, they are going to compete for 48 minutes and make your life difficult from the jump. As they continue to get healthy, they will be a tough out for any of the top seeds in the East if they can make it out of the Play-In tournament. The one main concern for Miami right now is its rotation. Duncan Robinson and Victor Oladipo seem to be on the outside looking in, but if they have any hopes of making some noise in a few weeks when the Playoffs, start, I think their veteran presence will need to be used to help them secure wins down the stretch.

Toronto continues to go about its business, currently positioned in the 9th spot in the East. Currently playing with the majority of their main scorers on the offensive end, they will look to extend their 2-game win streak, where they were able to get the best of the Pistons and Wizards on their home floor. Although these two squads are inferior to the Raptors, every win matters down the stretch. Last time out, O.G. Anunoby and Fred VanVleet took over and put in an impressive 57 points combined on the night. With the ability of their currently constructed rotation to get big nights out of several players in the starting lineup, they can be a dangerous team when they are clicking on all cylinders. The downside to Toronto all year has been their inconsistent play though... so we shall see if they can put on another good showing inside of Scotiabank Arena against the Heat on Tuesday night.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- Toronto is 19-12-1 playing as the home favorite

- Miami is 15-20 when playing away from home

- The over is 28-17 when the Raptors are playing as a favorite

Miami and Toronto have played numerous epic battles over the year and I expect this one to play out the same way. It feels as though every time they play, the game comes down to the wire. In saying this though, I trust Toronto at home to get the job done as they have played extremely well at home as the favorite. Give me the Raptors to grab a win versus their Eastern Conference foe to get to the .500 mark once again!
