Pick: Lakers -1

Tonight we will hone in on an inter-Conference clash between the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls, where both teams will be at their best as they try to staple their spot in the Play-In.

Los Angeles will most likely look to bring LeBron James back into the starting lineup here, as he unexpectedly came off the bench in the last game versus the Bulls. Currently, they are only 0.5 games up from being out of the Play-In, so they will need all of their top guns to be in full force if they hope to maneuver their way into the Playoffs somehow. Although they will be disappointed that they are in this position this late in the season, having a superstar duo in James and Anthony Davis will give them the confidence that they can take on any team in the Western Conference in the Playoffs… as long as they can get in. With only 7 games left in the regular season, we shall see if the Lakers can exact some immediate revenge on the Chicago Bulls after losing to them last time out in their home arena.

Chicago will feel good about themselves, coming off of a 3-game western road trip where they were able to take 2 out of 3 games, beating the Lakers and Trail Blazers in their path (2-1 ATS on the trip). Nevertheless, in their last game against the L.A. Clippers, they ran out of gas on the second night of a back-to-back, losing by a score of 124-112. Unlike the Lakers, the Bulls have a bit more leeway coming into The Windy City. With a 3 game advantage over the Washington Wizards for the 10th spot in the East, unless they completely collapse over the coming week, they should be able to punch their ticket into the Play-In games. With the likes of Zach Lavine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic all healthy at the moment, the Bulls will look to use that trio to shock one of the higher seeds in the East if they can squeak their way into the conversation.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- The Lakers are 9-4 ATS when playing on 2-3 days of rest

- Chicago is 10-16-1 ATS when playing non-Conference opponents

- The over is 21-15 when the Lakers are playing on the road

For sure, both teams are not comfortable with their position in the standings as the season comes to a close, but the Lakers will have more pressure to deliver in this one. With every loss, their chances of making the Playoffs become slimmer and slimmer. With LBJ and AD on the roster, that would be seen as a massive disappointment if they can not finish within the top 10 seeds of the West. LeBron is known to deliver in moments like this, and I expect that to show once again as they secure a key win on the road inside the United Center.
