Betting Odds: Penn State -14.5 (-105) - Over/Under (38.5)

Pick: Penn State -14.5 (-105)

Saturday night takes us to one of the most iconic venues in all of college football for one of the most iconic games in all of college football. As the Iowa Hawkeyes travel to Happy Valley to play Penn State during their infamous “White Out” game, in just one top 25, that features a weekend full of some of the best regular season action we will see all season. Both of these teams will be looking to open up conference play on a high note as well and pick up a Big Ten Conference victory of the season here on Saturday night, as well as grab a top 25 victory in the process.

The Iowa Hawkeyes come into Happy Valley on Saturday night looking to pick up a massive upset to remain undefeated and pick up their fourth victory of the season. They will also be looking to get their conference record off to a fantastic start this season as well as they look to be one of the favorite in the Big 10 West division. This will be the first true test for Iowa on the year as they play in one of the toughest environments in all of college football during one of the toughest games and all of college football every single season. Iowa will have to find a way to shut down this electric Penn State offense here on Saturday night if they want to leave Happy Valley with a much needed victory.

They are off to a fantastic start this season, but they are hearing the same criticisms that they have become accustomed to over the last several years and that is that, their offense is not good enough to keep up with an elite team like Penn State, especially with the way the Nittany Lions offense has been playing throughout the first three weeks of the season. Iowa’s defense is once again the cornerstone of this team, and that will usually be the case every season, and they will be looking to come up big once again in this game on Saturday night in the fourth week of the college football season.

The Penn State Nittany Lions have been on a roll early on in the season and they will be looking to pick up a fourth consecutive victory here on Saturday night at home. They look like a serious Big Ten title contender early on in the season and a potential playoff contender as long as their offense keeps clicking along week after week. Brand new quarterback Drew Allar is looking like the real deal so far this season and their two headed monster of the running back position, has been running roughshod over the rest of the competition.

As Nick Singleton, and Kaytron Allen will both have to play well if Penn State wants to get a victory over Iowa here at home on Saturday night. Penn State hasn’t been tested much this season and they will be looking to pick up their second victory inside the Big Ten conference after defeating Illinois last weekend. The Nittany Lions are a very hard team to defeat at home, especially when they are having their game of the year in this “White Out” game against the Iowa Hawkeyes. They are the heavy favorites in this one as well, and if everything goes according to plan, Penn State should have no problem grabbing a victory over Iowa here on Saturday night to open up the season with four consecutive victories.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- Penn State has won three “White Out” games in a row

- Penn State leads the series 17-14 all-time

- Penn State has won three of four against Iowa at home

I expect Penn State to pick up another victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes at home here on Saturday night as Penn State has a much tougher offense, led by quarterback Drew Allar. Iowa has a solid defense, but their offense has been lackluster throughout their first three games of the season, and I expect that to cost them this game

against Penn State on Saturday night on the road.
