As for Detroit they are coming off of a series against the New York Yankees, where they lost all three games over the weekend on the road at Yankee Stadium. The Cleveland Guardians have hit a bit of a slump over the last couple of games. They lost two out of three to the Atlanta Braves and then proceeded to lose two out of three to the Houston Astros and then followed that up by losing two out of three to the Los Angeles Angels. They will look to hit the reset button when they open this series of the Detroit Tigers on Monday night at home. They are in desperate need of a series victory heading into the first full week of May as they look to get things back on track and extend their lead on top of the American League Central division in the process.
