Monday night brings us Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers with the Nuggets looking for the sweep.
Denver is slowly but surely looking like they are going to make an appearance in the NBA Finals come next week with them leading 3-0 at the moment. Although they were able to take both of their first 2 home games, everyone expected the Lakers to bounce back accordingly in Game’s 3 and 4. But, through a 35-26 4th quarter, they were able to steal Game 3 to make them one step closer to advancing to the Finals. Looking at the box score and through watching the game, it was easy to see who controlled the game for the Nuggets. That man was Jamal Murray. He was able to score 37 points while adding in 7 rebounds and 6 assists as well. As Game 4 comes upon us, Murray will look to replicate that performance once again on the road to punch their ticket to have the opportunity to take home a Finals ring.

Los Angeles will look to make history by coming all the way back from 0-3 to winning 4 games in a row. Even though there is much concern around them, they seem to be okay with the deficit they are in nevertheless as multiple players and Head Coach Darvin Ham have talked about the confidence that they have in each other to bounce back. One area where the Lakers will need to improve drastically on is the point guard position. D'Angelo Russell is in a rut like no other right now and doesn't seem like he has the ability to turn it around as fast as the Lakers need him to. This is why they have used Dennis Schroder frequently in this series off the bench in order to try and fill the void that Russell has been leaving with his miserable play. Can the Lakers put 4 quality quarters together to make the Nuggets have to close it out on their home floor?
