The Cleveland Guardians and the Colorado Rockies will play the second game of a three game series here on Tuesday night at Coors Field. Colorado was able to snap Cleveland’s nine game winning streak with a six run inning early on in the game and they never looked back after Cleveland had an offensive outburst of their own throughout the first three innings. Now the Colorado Rockies will grab consecutive victory to clinch the series against Cleveland and head into Wednesday with an opportunity to sweep the Guardians. Meanwhile, Cleveland will get back into the series with a victory here on Tuesday and keep their hopes alive of winning the series and Wednesday’s finale.
Cleveland’s offense remained hot as they posted multiple runs throughout the early innings of this game once again. However, they were unable to shut down Colorado’s offense in a ballpark that is very hitter friendly. Cleveland has been one of the hottest teams of baseball and they look back into the win column after having their nine game-winning streaks snapped on Monday afternoon. The Colorado Rockies will look to replicate their offensive outburst in the second game of this series on Tuesday night to grab a second consecutive win against Cleveland. It has been a rough start to the season as they continue to fall farther and farther behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West division, and they are basically out of playoff contention already. They will need to string plenty of victories if they want to get themselves back in a position to compete for a postseason appearance this season. However, that seems very unlikely, but they can at least get in the right direction with another victory over Cleveland at home here on Tuesday.
