Now they will make it straight wins, and they will look for their consecutive victory against Boston to officially clinch the series before heading into Thursday finale.

The Boston Red Sox will be looking to pick up their first victory of the series here on Wednesday night after coming up short on Tuesday. This is the very same Boston team that looked completely out matched in the opening game of the series on Monday morning as they lost six to nothing to Cleveland. However, they erased a five to nothing deficit in their game on Tuesday night, and they looked like they were going to pick up the victory before they allowed Cleveland to tie the game. Boston was unable to get the job done in extra innings after tying the game in the 10th, unfortunately they would fall short later on in the night.
Now they will look to put the last two games behind them and pick up a much-needed victory here in game number three of the series to keep the hope alive that they could get a four game split with Cleveland. This is a Boston team that came into the season with plenty of expectations, but you can argue that they’ve been rather underwhelming throughout the early part of the season. That is something they cannot afford to do in the American League East with how stacked it is this season. Every opportunity will add up throughout the year and they could be in danger of missing the playoffs by the summer if they continue with this pace.

With the victory Cleveland would officially clinch the series against Boston heading into the fourth and final game on Thursday afternoon.
