Pick: Browns ML (+155)

It is already week number nine of the NFL season and teams are getting into the full strides of their schedule and a lot of teams are coming out of their bye weeks as well in the hunt for the playoffs. Both of these teams have already gone through their bye week and they have a long stretch ahead of them and they will meet here in this one on Sunday afternoon in Seattle. Both of them will be looking to pick up their fifth victory of the season and further establish themselves as a potential playoff contender this year. It’ll be an interesting matchup when the Cleveland Browns and the Seattle Seahawks meet in the Pacific Northwest here on Sunday afternoon.

The Cleveland Browns come into this game riding a very impressive two game-winning streak as they picked up a pair of victories that many people would’ve never expected them to get. They will be sending back up quarterback, PJ Walker out to the field for the start for the third consecutive game as he is still starting in relief of Deshaun Watson who continues to deal with a shoulder injury that is keeping him sidelined. Without him, nobody would’ve expected Cleveland would find themselves in this position especially if they also knew that their star running back Nick Chubb went down very early in the year.

PJ Walker has put the team on his back along with the defense for the last two weeks and he will be looking to do it for a third consecutive week as Cleveland looks to pick up another very quality victory here on the road in Seattle on Sunday afternoon. The Cleveland Browns come into this game with four victories to their name on the season they will be looking to grab their fifth victory of the year, as they look to keep pace in one of the most competitive and physical divisions in all of football this season.

It has been a pretty solid start of the season for the Seattle Seahawks as Geno Smith continues to prove the wrong in his second stint as a starting quarterback in the NFL. He will be looking to pick up a victory over one of the best defenses he will likely face all season here on Sunday afternoon at home against the Cleveland Browns. A victory for Seattle would give them a huge momentum boost and give them their fifth victory of the season in the process, as they look to keep pace with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West division. San Francisco has looked pretty sluggish throughout the last couple of weeks, so Seattle certainly has to take advantage of these opportunities each and every week if they want to potentially win a division, title, and compete for a wildcard spot in the NFC as well.

The Seattle Seahawks come into this game looking to grab a much-needed victory on Sunday afternoon against the Cleveland Browns and they are a very tough team to beat at home. As Seattle is home to one of the toughest environments in the entire league. They will be looking to utilize the crowd and keep them energized throughout the game as they look to lean on them late in the game to drown out the Browns offensive signal, and hopefully force the team to make several mistakes early and late in the ball game. Seattle is coming into this game on a one game winning streak after picking up a victory over the Arizona Cardinals, and they have won four out of their last five as well.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- Cleveland has the #1 overall defense in the NFL

- Cleveland is 1-0 against the NFC

- Seattle is 0-1 against the AFC

I expect this to be a close and competitive game throughout the entirety of the contest, but in the end, I think the Cleveland Browns defense will continue to make plays when they need them the most. I look for Cleveland to grab a third consecutive victory against a very tough Seattle team to beat at home in a solid competitive contest here on Sunday afternoon in the Pacific Northwest.
