Betting Odds: Browns ML (-185) - Over/Under (41)

Pick: Browns ML (-185)

With only two weeks to go until the midway point of the NFL season, things are heating up fast and heavy for both of these AFC teams as they both look to pick up a crucial victory here on Sunday afternoon to further establish themselves in the playoff race. As the Cleveland Browns will head to Indianapolis to play the Colts here and week number seven of the season with both teams firmly in the middle of the wildcard race inside of the AFC as well as in their respective division title races as well.

The Cleveland Browns are coming off of a fantastic victory last weekend against the San Francisco 49ers, and they will be looking to follow up on that momentum and grab another victory over the Indianapolis Colts on the road on Sunday afternoon. Cleveland is finally putting it all together and it seems possible that they might get their starting quarterback Deshaun Watson back for this one, but he is a gametime decision at the moment.

Cleveland will be looking to grab their second consecutive win of the season and their fourth victory of the season overall as they look to keep pace with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North division, heading into the middle of their schedule.

Cleveland is a team that is built to win games and make a playoff run through the first five games of their season. Their production on the offensive side of the football has not lived up to the height. Throughout the first six weeks of the season, their defense has kept them in plenty of games as it looks like a Super Bowl caliber defense but eventually it is a defense that is going to wear down from over usage if the offense does not hold up its end of the bargain. They will be more balanced in this game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon on the road at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Indianapolis Colts will also be looking to pick up their fourth victory of the season, and it’ll be quarterback Gardner Minshew under Center after they recently learned that first round rookie draft selection, Anthony Richardson will be out for the remainder of the year. The Indianapolis Colts have had a solid start to the season and they’ve arguably surprised a few people even though they were without all-pro running back Jonathan Taylor for the first four weeks of the year. They will be looking to kill the Cleveland Browns momentum and pick up a huge victory here at home on Sunday afternoon as they will face one of their toughest tests of the season.

Indianapolis will also be looking to keep pace with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South division after losing a game to Jacksonville earlier in the year and needing to make up this week with a victory over a solid Cleveland team. Indianapolis has looked solid throughout their first six games of the season and they will need to find a way to win here on Sunday and they will have to play arguably similar to the way they played against the Baltimore Ravens a few weeks ago when they defeated Baltimore in overtime.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- Cleveland is giving up only 8 PPG in wins

- Indianapolis is 1-2 at home this season

- Cleveland is averaging 20 PPG in wins

I expect this to be a close and competitive game throughout the entirety of the contest, but in the end, I think the Cleveland Browns defense will step up and make the necessary plays. As I look for Cleveland to come out of this week seven game with a much-needed victory, and for them to pick up their fourth victory of the season, as well as their second consecutive victory on the year. I expected to be the defense that comes up, clutch for them and makes a late game stand to lead Cleveland to a victory against the Indianapolis Colts on the road.
