After stringing together a good run of games in the past few weeks, the Yankees have fallen back to Earth, going 4-6 over their last ten games. Nonetheless, they will have their ace on the mound as they try and take the series from the Rangers. After he struggled at times in 2022, Gerrit Cole has pitched outstandingly this year. He has a 8-1 record while boasting a 2.64 ERA. As the Yankees try to stay afloat and keep themseleves in the Wild Card race in the AL, every fifth day they will rely on Cole to deliver to the best of his abilities. Moving on towards the Yankees lineup at the moment, it looks unrecognizable from what it was one season ago. Aaron Judge being sidelined is their biggest concern at the moment though, as his void in the meat of the lineup is a problem that is next to impossible to fix overnight. If the Yankees are to stay in the mix, they will need veterans like Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo to hold the fort down until Judge is able to make a comeback.
