Pick: Knicks (-7)

Wednesday night showcases us with two Eastern Conference teams headed in completely opposite directions when the Brooklyn Nets take the short trip to The Garden to face off against the New York Knicks.

Brooklyn is under a complete overhaul of their roster. After trading away Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, it looks as though the struggle is going to continue for an extended period for them... something Nets fans are sure to be up in arms about. Having lost 4 out of their last 5 games SU (2-3 ATS in that stretch), heading into MSG off of a battle at home against a Bucks squad who has not lost in weeks the night before seems like a tough task to overcome. If they are to do this though and find a way to turn their season around, newly acquired Mikal Bridges will have a part to say in that. The two-way forward has been thrust into a much bigger role than he ever had to experience in Phoenix and has thrived in it since coming over 2 weeks ago. With 3 out of the 5 games that he has played in Brooklyn scoring 23+ points, he will look to continue that on short rest as he takes his squad into the squawking Knicks crowd. With 22 games left on their schedule, time will tell if they can hold onto that illustrious 6th seed to gain a Playoff spot.

I am not going to say it loud, but are the Knicks turning into a dark horse in the East? They have been playing some of the best team basketball over the past few weeks, winning 8 out of their last 9 games (7-2 ATS in that span). They have managed to implement their new pieces along with welcoming the plethora of injured players back into the lineup with ease. Additionally, I will keep repeating it as long as it stands... Josh Hart has been the most underrated trade piece obtained at the trade deadline. He has come over and played a tremendous role on big minutes, something the Knicks were missing remarkably before he came in. If he can continue playing this well, along with how Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson, and RJ Barrett forming into an exquisite trio, keep your eye on this squad come Playoff time. It does not matter how well or poorly you played early in the season, it is all about peaking at the right time, and it seems as though they are doing that to a tee as they make a push up the East standings.

Betting trends to consider in this matchup:

- New York is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games played

- The Nets are 5-8 ATS when playing on a rest disadvantage to the opposing team

- The over has hit in 15 out of 22 games that the Knicks have played as a home favorite

As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have been riding on this Knicks train for a few weeks now, and it seems to never end. All things must come to an end though, but it will not end here. The Nets lack identity right now as their roster has completely changed as of late. Partner this with the fact that they are going to be up against the Bucks less than 24 hours from this tipoff, they will surely be on tired legs come game time in MSG. Give me the Knicks to keep the good vibes going!
