Boston suffered an embarrassing loss in their last contest, falling to the Washington Wizards by 19 points where they came in favorite by 11. That loss had them fall 2.5 games back of the Bucks atop the East, putting them in a surefire must-win spot come Thursday night. Although it has been a three-headed race for the MVP award for a while now, Jayson Tatum has produced one of the most impressive seasons in the Celtics history. He is averaging 30.1 PTS, 8.9 REB, and 4.7 AST on the year. If he can replicate the 41-point outing that he put forward in December in his only game played against the Bucks this season so far, the Celtics will have a great chance to cut the lead atop the East to 1.5 games. We shall see if Boston can head into the raucous Milwaukee crowd to hand the Bucks their 8th home loss of the season to date.

Milwaukee is plugging along splendidly of late, scoring 275 points combined in their last 2 games against the Pistons and Pacers (2-0 ATS in that span). Coming into Thursday night, this will be their second game of a back-to-back, where they will have to fly into Milwaukee overnight from Indiana after a battle in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. In their 13-point win last night, Jrue Holiday had a career night, scoring 51 points on an immaculate 30 shots. Although he may have tired legs heading home, the Bucks will have the luxury of relying on several of their other star players to take down the Eastern Conference Champs. As the Bucks try to officially lock up the top spot in the East, time will tell if they can bring their best on short rest against one of the best teams that The League has to offer.
