With the conference set to likely disband at the end of the athletic year, it has been a wild ride this season and Arizona and USC will put a bow on the regular season here in this one. Both of these teams have had vastly different seasons, as Arizona has been more of the best kids in the country. Meanwhile, USC was expected to be solid with plenty of future NBA talent on the roster, but they’ve been rather underwhelming this year.
Arizona has been fantastic this season and they will look to cap off the regular season with another victory here on Saturday night in Los Angeles. They have spent time as the number one team in the country at certain points throughout the year and they will look to get back to that heading into the conference tournament. They come into this game with 24 victories through their first 30 games of the season and a Pac-12 conference championship could secure them a number one seed in the NCAA tournament. They have gotten the job done with plenty of homegrown and recruited. They have already locked up the regular season conference championship and they will look to add yet another trophy to their case in the conference tournament. They have been one of the few teams in college basketball this season that have found success on the road winning seven out of 10 games away from home. Arizona also comes into this game on a four game winning streak, and they will look for their fifth consecutive victory of the year prior to heading in for some rest in the opening few rounds of the conference tournament. This is an Arizona team that has already picked up a double digit victory against USC at home earlier this season. Now they will look to complete the regular season sweep of the Trojans here on Saturday.

USC had plenty of high expectations coming into the regular season with a roster full of future professional talent. Guys like Boogie Ellis and LeBron James Junior, were expected to be major contributors to this USC team. After a health scare hampered his performance throughout his freshman season in LeBron James Junior has been MIA for USC throughout the regular season. However, Boogie Ellis has been solid for USC but unfortunately, the results have just not come this season for the Trojans. They come into this game after losing 17-28 this season and unless they win the conference tournament they will be missing the NCAA tournament as well.
It is unfortunate for a program that was expected to have so much success this season, but they will have plenty to learn from heading into the off-season and going into next year. There is a lot they need to improve on and they can end the season on a high note with an upset of one of the best teams in the country here on Saturday night at home. As they will look to make up for their 15 lost Arizona from earlier this season and defeat the Wildcats in the final regular season game of the year. It has been a rough go of things for USC at home this season winning only eight of 14 as they are hovering around 500 with a less than respectable winning record. They have been completely abysmal against the top 25 losing all three of their previous opportunities, including one previously mentioned game against Arizona.
